Sports massage is a form of massage involving the manipulation of soft tissue to benefit a person engaged in regular physical activity. Sports massage is designed to assist in correcting problems and imbalances in soft tissue that are caused from repetitive and strenuous physical activity and trauma. The application of sports massage, prior to and after exercise, may enhance performance, aid recovery and prevent injury.

Dry cupping is a type of therapy that involves placing plastic or silicone cups onto an area of skin and creating a vacuum to increase blood circulation, reduce pain & reduce tension. 

Rock-pods allow the therapist to grab, pull and push fascia to treat mobility and movement dysfunctions. By targeting specific trigger points, these cups can help release built up tension and reduce inflammation. An excellent tool for athletes as well as anyone suffering from chronic pain or injuries. This technique is also great for those looking to improve their overall health and wellness. 
pit is a great complimentary method used within Sports Massage but equally can be be beneficial on its own.

Dry Needling is a skilled intervention performed by a physical therapist that uses a thin filiform needle to penetrate the skin and stimulate underlying neural, muscular and connective tissues for the evaluation and management of neuromusculoskeletal pain and movement impairments.

Dry needling is used to treat pain and dysfunction caused by muscle problems, headaches and some nerve problems. The aim of dry needling is to specifically heal and restore muscle and fascia function. A fine needle is inserted into a muscle to provoke a muscle stimulation. By inserting the needle into the tight muscle it creates a response which releases the trigger point and restores normal function. Benefits include: Reduced pain, Increased blood flow, Decreased muscle tightness & Reduced referred pain. 

Kinesiology Taping

Kinesiology taping is used to treat and assist with a variety of sport and non-sporting injuries. Rock tape lifts the skin away from the muscle and fascia creating a decompression effect. The main benefits include: Increased blood and lymphatic flow, Increased glide between tissue layers and Improved neurological effect. Rock tape is the perfect way to keep moving!

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation

A method using specially designed tools to apply longitudinal pressure, facilitating the therapists ability to reduce adhesions within the soft tissue and increase healing rates. A great and effective treatment to complement a sports massage.
